I've been calling our house "The Tiny House" since 3.5 levels sits at only 26.5 sqm lot. Its tiny in a townhouse / apartment standard, but relatively spacious for two people. We're only using 2 levels actually. But there are people living in an actual tiny house that would put our house to shame. Ours is palatial compared to those. Why not feature my favorites right? People everywhere have been doing an amazing job in making these tiny space very homey and inspirational.
As I was searching for a space to feature, this photo caught my eye and I needed to see the entire space!
Thankfully, the owners, Brett and Natasha, have a lot of photos of their renovated airstream on their instagram @tincanhomestead. I may have spent more than an hour looking at their feed! It's jaw dropping how they managed to make this airsteam their home.
This is how it used to look like.
LIVING AREA
They turned it to this. Plant everywhere!
Loving how bright it is. It also looks very comfortable, warm, and cozy. That daybed would get a lot of nap times from me if this were ours. Haha
The graphic pattern of their linens and upholstery just give it interest without making it busy. It's amazing how much pattern and stuff they have in here, but everything still looks calm and relaxing.
KITCHEN
With their small space, they actually have a decent sized kitchen.
White and natural wood = a perfect match.
I'm drawn to hexagon tiles especially white ones with dark grout. It highlights the pattern beautifully.
BEDROOM
In most airstream, the bedroom is basically just the bed. And they managed to put a king in there!
BATHROOM
What we lack in our house is outdoor space. And what I would give to have something like this.
They even created this cute floor plan of their airstream. Now you can see where everything goes and how efficient the layout is.
I don't know if I can live in a place this small, maybe if we don't have much stuff I could. It's hard for me to even keep our place organized. haha.. But for an outdoor space like this, I just might.
Head on over to their account @tincanhomestead. They had already sold their airstream and are on to building an A-frame. I'm sure it will be as great!
Until the next Real Tiny...
