I have a couple more projects that I'm dying to share. And I will soon once I get my messy sched figured out. I wish this week have 9 days in it, but again, not complaining! :)
This is one of the freshest home office I've seen. Those framed prints are simple, easy to DIY, and looks great! Black floors, yellow chair, hot pink (red?) storage closet, and a huge pop art - everything came together perfectly. If you're afraid to paint but want color in your place, this is the way to go.
So I've been so late when it comes to mobile blogging. I just got this app so I can blog straight from the ipad. Woohoo! I can now instantly snap photos and share. I sound like a technology virgin sounding so excited with something that has been going on for years. Haha.. But what I'm most excited about is this app means more posts. I will now share tidbits of my daily life in real time (if that even interest you haha), thus "Elle Daily."
Since I was so excited about this, I'm blogging now through the app even when I'm here in my bed just a few feet from my laptop. We can call this a test run.
Back to the peacock, I so love it!
While checking out a Japan Surplus store with the BF, I spotted this thing and fell in love, dust and all. I fell even more in love when I saw the price tag. 300 pesosesss! It's just a framed fabric, but still.. It's beautiful. I haven't seen that kind of fabric here so the price is so worth it.
The first thing I did when I got home was hang that thing. It will now watch over me as I take the measly 2 hour nap right about now. Goodnight peacock!
After living my whole life with dark cherry varnished wood as a foyer table, dining set, china cabinet, and other dark brownish stuff, I kinda sworn off wood. I just wanted to lighten things up and use bright bright bright! (if you dare, see our house before photos here)
But, yes there's a big BUT, (I've got big but and I can not lie.. haha..) recently, I'm really drawn to wooden stuff. Not those varnished glossy ones, but the reclaimed rustic look. They are just pretty. It's warm, it adds texture, it's interesting.
The different tones in this wall are amazing.
Look at how different treatment of woods (walls and floors) look together. Yes people. you can mix all kinds of woods!
Elle Decor
Gray washed wall.
The warm tones looks great with yellow accents.
Charming as a sink vanity table. I love!
Actually planning to strip some of our furniture and keep it raw, like this one.
The table is great, but the ceiling.. oh the ceiling...
Again, different type of woods, all in one cute room.

And yes, they work well with modern pop arts as well.
I'm a convert. I love them. I want them. If there's one thing I learned, don't generalized things. I hated the glossy dark varnished furniture we had, and thought all wooden stuff are awful. These photos proved me wrong. Soo wrong.
