Upstairs bath reveal (finally!)
1/08/2011 12:01:00 AM
You can see in this bath update post that I became this crazy person being happy just peeing around prettiness. Guess what? I'm even crazier now! I smile not only while peeing, but while washing my hands and face, brushing my teeth, and even while looking in the mirror!
Yep, I've gone mad! Our upstairs bath is now completely (kinda) done!
Even though it's not your perfect bathroom (eeky old tiles and toilet still intact), I love it just the same! Considering our itsy bitsy budget (even tinier than the size of this bath!), I'm really thrilled with how it turned out.
Another "before" shot in all its gross glory...
and here are all the "afters".
I moved those easy cheap art beside the mirror since I decided to put my daisy painting above the toilet.
I know I want to have an overly feminine bathroom, hence the walls, but I also want a pop of other color to add to the mix. So why yellow? To make the old yellow toilet look intentional, or at least not so much of an eyesore.
I bought a corner caddy to have some needed storage.
Those are old hooks spray painted white and black.
For the chipped tiles, I just decided to paint it the color of the existing tiles (which is yellowish white due to the fact that it is 1,024,293 years old!) so it will just blend in...
and of course, adding those art helped big time!
So what's the deal with the "kinda" done? Still no working shower here! It's in the works, but I can't help it, I needed to show you this space asap! The first (almost) completely done space of our whole chaotic home makeover. One down, (I don't even wanna think about it number) to go!
COST:
Paint - P250 (around $6)
Curtain / hook / painting - free
Border - $6 with lots of extras for other projects!
Framed pop art - P132 (around $3)
Sink - P1200 from Wilcon (around $28)
Corner caddy - around P250 (around $6)
Accessories - P300 (around $7)
Shower curtain - P270 (around $6)
Mirror - P500 (around $11)
Grand Total: P3160 or around $73
P.S. if you are so observant and noticed that bare switch, please ignore as I have something plan for that.
