I'm a work in progress -living room

Remember this before shots from this post?

and how I'm planning to have all white walls with splashes of bright colors?

This is the living room now.
Ahhh.... a breath of fresh air... I can see the light...

Never mind the mess, hopefully they're not there for good. I just love how a coat of paint changes the whole room. Now I can see my vision a lot clearer.

This is the color scheme I'm going for.
interior design

White-Black-Aquamarine-Lime-touch of Reds and Oranges.

I'll be having the couch slipcovered.
source unknown

Sheer light greyish curtains will be put up.
(hopefully I can find what I'm looking for and not get distracted like what happened to me here)

See that far cement wall in between the windows in our living room photo? This is the plan.

Not the mantel. Pleaseee, the only season we got is hot and hotter.  I'm talking about the frame gallery. I've collected different old frames around the house for this project, now all I need to do is find what to put in them (hard hard task!).
(see different ways on how to display a frame gallery here)

I'm really disappointed that we can't finish this up in time for Christmas. A house project never goes as planned as we all know. But I'm excited still and can't wait for a "new" house for the new year.

"I can see clearly now the rain has gone
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's going to be a bright, bright sunshiny day!"

  1. Very cool plan. It has a very Anthropologie vibe with that brick wall. Not sure if you found curtains yet, but if you have an Ikea around, they should have something similar at a great price.....

    Take care,

  2. Thank you. I really do hope I could pull this whole plan off. Sadly, no Ikea here. But we have a great fabric market called Divisoria :)

    Thanks for dropping by!

  3. It's amazing to see how you started off with just sharing your personal adventure in decorating and renovating and how it has led to bigger things..congratulations and can't wait to see it all come together.
